Rock Isn’t Dead: Andrew Hand Brings the Heart and Soul Back

Artist Andrew Hand is on a mission: that mission being to create great rock songs and bring back a sense of connection to our favorite past-time.

Andrew Hand

Often compared to the likes of David Bowie, Jim Morrison and U2; Hand brings a touch of theatricality to his music (think driving guitars, thematic lyrics and a voice that could move a mountain).

Alt – Rocker Kirsten DeHaan & The SirLady Experience ‘Thorns On A Crown’ 2010 Northeast Tour

One of five artists chosen for Men’s Vogue Critics Choice Awards, and a leading licensor on MTV and AOL, Kirsten DeHaan’s highly anticipated third album, ‘Thorns On A Crown’ (SirLady Records) reflects the current social-political climate with intelligent lyrics wrapped in rock, blues, folk and pop, has been received by rave reviews.

“The Songs on her five–track EP extend over a range of toe-tapping to somber. In the current music world of soulless musicians singing to beats generated by machines, it is refreshingly evident to have DeHaan whole-heartedly fulfill a responsibility of realness & truth”

Rock Trio “Devi” Brings “Rock Fudge” to Your Ipod

I’ve had the pleasure of working with a really cool band out of Jersey City, NJ called Devi over the past few months, so I figured it’s about time I shared some information about them here on my blog (sorry this took so long Debra!)

One of the first band’s I ever had the pleasure of working with was a NYC band called Black Market Radio, where I met bassist Keith Mannino, now working with Devi. Small world.

With a lot of buzz surrounding them, it’s been a lot of fun helping them develop a stronger web presence that’s definitely building their fanbase. Check out what we did over at devi-rock.com

Cubane’s debut, C8H8, Set To Blow Up Your Speakers This Weekend

With a surprisingly warm Friday to start off the weekend, and because I’m just hours away from seeing Scott Weiland at the TLA, I’m in a pretty rocking mood.

Also might be because I’ve been checking out the new debut album from Newark, Delaware’s very own Cubane, entitled C9H8.

The band will be playing a local hometown show to release the album tomorrow, so it’s only fitting that I send you off with some tunes to check out over the weekend. The album should be available digitally very soon, so be sure to check out the Cubane site or MySpace page for updates.
