Wave Goodbye: A Look Back at Nine Inch Nails

Nine Inch Nails just wrapped up their Wave Goodbye tour, which is the end of NIN as a touring act, and may also be taking a break for a bit. So here’s a look back at the career of one of the most visionary groups from the 90’s.

  • Michael Trent Reznor was born on May, 17 1965 in Mercer, PA.
  • At age five he began playing piano.
  • In 1985 Reznor moved to Cleveland and got a job as a janitor at Right Track Studio.
  • While working at Right Track, Reznor recorded nine demos that would be known as Purest Feeling in 1988.

Nine Inch Nails/Jane’s Addiction Site Up and Running

To get everyone amped for the upcoming Nine Inch Nails/Jane’s Addiction tour this summer, the bands, along with Tom Morrello’s latest side project Street Sweeper, have unveiled a new site.

Besides the obvious list of tour dates, there is a huge media player for you to stream tracks from all three bands.

But, there are two other features that should make fans feel all tingly inside.

The first is a FREE EP.
Yup, that’s right, I said free. The six track EP features unreleased cuts from the three acts, which would be two tracks per act. Pretty sweet if you ask me.

Radiohead ‘In Rainbows’: One Year Later

In Rainbows album coverLast Friday, October 10, Radiohead’s In Rainbows celebrated it’s one year release.

When the news broke about Radiohead releasing a new album that would be digitally released as a pay for what you want model, the buzz was everywhere. Everyone wanted to throw in their two cents on this crazy plan.

While giving away music was, and remains, nothing new to a lot of musicians, having a band as huge as Radiohead practically give away an entire album was mind blowing. Now after having a year to digest In Rainbows, it’s still safe to say to that Radiohead has indeed changed the music industry.
