Was Chris Cornell’s “Scream” Worth the Wait?

scream

Last Tuesday was the day that Chris Cornell fans have been waiting for, or dreading, for months.

After delay after delay “Scream” finally hit the shelves.

Now, I love Chris Cornell’s music and have supported every venture that he’s crossed, but “Scream” was everything that I feared it would be.

I seriously gave Chris the benefit of doubt, and didn’t judge him until I heard the album in it’s entirety. I tried to look at the positive benefits of a Seattle God teaming up with a hip hop producer. I really dug the self-titled track. I thought he promoted the album wisely.

When Will Chris Cornell’s ‘Scream’ Be Released?

If you’ve been keeping up to date with Chris Cornell’s third solo Scream, then you know that this album is starting to get a little like Chinese Democracy.

OK, it’s not as bad as Axl making fans wait for over a decade, but Scream was supposed to come out on October 14, 2008. Then it received a November 4 release date, which was changed due to Election Day. Although, I’m a little nervous when I notice that album is listed as March 10, on most notably Best Buy. However, most sites have gone back to the February 3 date, although Amazon states that “a release date as not yet been set for this title”.

Pearl Jam – “Someday At Christmas”

Can’t Change Me: A Chris Cornell Biography

Chris Cornell played a few solo songs from Sou... I’ve been listening to Chris Cornell’s new single “Scream” a lot lately. It’s defiantly been tattooed inside my head. For longtime fans of Cornell it’s a lot to digest, so I got to thinking about his career and how he’s evolved over the years.

With that, I present a bio on the one and only Chris Cornell.

*Christopher John Boyle was born in Seattle on July 20, 1964.

* Chris Cornell started piano lessons at a very early age, but he disliked the lessons so he taught himself. By age 8 he had enough music to play a full set with a music teacher for the music faculty at the University of Washington.

Chris Cornell and Timbaland Sell Me On “Scream”

Ran into this lil’ interview of Chris Cornell and Timbaland discussing their upcoming collaboration “Scream”.

Watch the video before you read my rant, because you’re going to learn a few things from it.

Artist on Artist: Chris Cornell and Timbaland

Okay, now for a quick lesson on interacting with an audience, and how to build up some buzz.

First thing, did notice how the video opened with an intro by Chris and his son? A brilliant snapshot of where Chris Cornell is at this time of his life. He’s a rock legend who has a wife and children and lives in Paris.
