Darren Rose points to a Fast Company article today about how blogging can help your career, whether it be making a living from blogging or helping you land that dream job. More and more people are looking towards blogs to find talent in their particular industry, and I encourage every single person in college to start a blog right now in a specific area of study. I’m actually working on a “package” of sorts for college students to get them off and running their own blog, and know it will be very successful here in Newark. More details to follow.

If you haven’t checked him out yet, I suggest visiting his recent post about video blogging.Ze rants briefly about the difference between “old dirty media” and “new” media such as blogging, the main difference being that new media is all about humans making connections with each other as opposed to the “stories” of old media. That must explain why I have stopped watching TV and spend more time online. Powerful to say the least.

Andy Beal dropped a link about a Blogging Scholarship offered to current students who blog. While not a lot of money, it still is nice to promote blogging, especially for cash-strapped students who already devote time to blogging. Time= Money.
