This course and the main website and blog are geared towards THAT musician. The singer-songwriter who has more YouTube videos than recorded songs. The band in the van with no album, but has thousands of streaming fans on UStream. The rapper recording songs and then podcasting them on iTunes every night.

About the author

Greg Rollett is a Social Media and Youth Culture Marketer based in Orlando, FL. His background consists of marketing and advertising as well as a 10 year stint in the Indie Music Business. He is the co-founder and current Heart Surgeon of Endagon Innovations, a Social Media Boutique targeting the entertainment and hospitality industries and is helping to change the way people are buying and communicating.

Greg is proud to serve on the Rock For Hunger Board of Directors and serves as the VP for the start-up non-profit in Orlando, FL. The organization helps those less fortunate in the area through Music, Peace and Action and has shown tremendous growth in its 1+ year of existence. Greg also sits on the Board for doterati, an association of Interactive Marketing, Technology and Advertising Professionals in the Central Florida area.

Greg started Gen-Y Rock Stars in 2008 after speaking at numerous music conferences and learning that bands were still looking to be dependent on a music business system that is broken. Many musicians were unaware of the many technologies and marketing opportunities right in front of them. His goal is to help generate a music middle class, where musicians are able to support themselves and their family while partaking in the industry and field that they love.
