Castle Cruz is another one man act and comes to us via New York, NY. While not necessarily a standard rock act, his music is actually very, very good. It’s beyond catchy. Just a simple foot tapper. I don’t know how else to explain it.

Submission: A Bunch of 30 Second Tracks!?
Angry Forest is a borderline metal band hailing from Anitoch, CA. Their bassist stands out the most upon first listening to them, which is something you rarely hear. Unfortunately they didn’t understand the rules of this contest and we were only allowed to hear 30 second clips of their material, which unfortunately affects our review; two unfavorable things did stand out.

Sound Chaos is a one man act from Milwaukee WI. My favorite aspect about Sound Chaos is that he claims that every song has a meaning and story behind it and fans are encouraged to ask the artist about it. That kind of fan interaction is always clutch.

For a band that’s been around since 1990, I expected something more solid. The music isn’t bad, it’s loud, funky and Cult-like, I’m talking about the quality of the production. Overall, this London based duo has over 5,000 fans and plays quite a bit of live shows, which is always a plus.

Submission: Operation Moon Freedom
For a three-piece band, JoeSixPack is insanely good. They’re a straight forward hardcore band with disgusting guitars, thunderous drums and smooth bass-lines. It’s hard to stand out in the Austin art scene, but these guys definitely can.
