Contest Submission: Mayhem Deranged – 3 Stars (Out of 5)

The following artist is one of the participants of the Evolvor Crowdsourced Rock Compilation Contest This review is a very quick, first impression of what we thought of their submission and the data presented in their electronic press kit.

For a band that’s been around since 1990, I expected something more solid. The music isn’t bad, it’s loud, funky and Cult-like, I’m talking about the quality of the production. Overall, this London based duo has over 5,000 fans and plays quite a bit of live shows, which is always a plus.

Their biggest downfall is that site called MySpace. 99% of their fans come from there, and we should all know by now, they key is building an email list first! If Mayhem Deranged wants to stick around they need to get with the times.

  • True, MySpace could be a dead duck now, but it wasn't back in 2006 when we first joined as did many others! Indeed there is very little in the way of meaninful interaction there today, but it should be referred to as a legacy rather than a downfall!
