The following artist is one of the participants of the Evolvor Crowdsourced Rock Compilation Contest

For a band that’s only been around since 2009, Faulkner Alley sounds thoroughly solid. Musically, these guys remind me of an Incubus-like band that we had a lot in the late 90′s/early 00′s, which surprised me since they hail from Oxford, MS. Thankfully, they haven’t forgotten where they came from since they named their band after author William Faulkner, who happened to born in the same area.

These guys have a lot of potential and I think they’ll mature as they spend more time learning the ropes and jamming with each other. Another plus is that over 88% of their fan-base comes via Facebook, so clearly they’re on the right track.
