2011 Music Marketing Manifesto – Do You Have One?
Last year around this time I wrote my “music marketing manifesto for 2010“. So what has changed for this year?
Nothing really.

Nope, my ideas are pretty much the same – build your audience and worry about making money once you have it. Give your music away and just be happy that people are listening!
My only extra advice I guess would be to change the way you think about being a musician, about thinking you “deserve” something for your art. And it will be this advice that you’ll find in my upcoming book, titled, Your Music Sucks (and Maybe Nobody Likes You). Stay tuned as I’ll be giving the first chapter away very soon!
In the meantime, go back and look over my music marketing manifesto – did you take any of my advice last year? If you did, how do you feel about it now? If you didn’t, did you have any sort of success doing other things? Did you prove me wrong?
