Pearl Jam Teams With Rhapsody, Rock Band For Fan Project

We all love Rock Band and Guitar Hero, and for fans of acts like Aerosmith, Metallica, Van Halen and The Beatles, it doesn’t get much sweeter.

However, Pearl Jam are shaking up the format a bit.

Instead of fans being presented an already formatted package, the fans will actually be making their own Pearl Jam Rock Band.

While details are a bit foggy at this point, we do know a couple of things. The game will be released in 2010 and fans will be choosing the set-list!

You can make your voice heard by heading over to the band’s official site and picking your favorite Pearl Jam tracks via a Rhapsody widget to be included in the game.

What’s even cooler is that you get to pick live versions of these songs. So let’s say you want to rock out to a track like “Given To Fly”, you click on that track and then you have to pick your favorite version from eleven different takes from shows in 2003, 2006 or 2008.

How sick is that!

Yet another reason why we love this band.
