Scott Weiland Streams New Solo Tracks
You can check out “Missing Cleveland” on Weiland’s MySpace page, while the track “Paralysis” is streaming over at Spin.
As previously posted, Happy in Galoshes will hit shelves on November 25 (although the release date was originall November, 18, so I’m assuming that it was pushed back a week) through Weiland’s Softdrive records, and will be Weiland’s second solo release, following 1998’s 12 Bar Blues.
Needless to say, I’m pretty excited about this release. These two tracks are good, not spectacular, but they’re defiantly growing on me. “Paralysis” is actually getting more and more stuck in my head. It’s very catchy.
In related news, Weiland also chatted about his upcoming solo tour, which kicks off November 11 in Kansas City, MO. Here’s what he had to say: “One of my big professional regrets is that I didn’t get the opportunity to really tour my first solo album. And as far as a band, you know, I have a couple of core people that I have with me all the time, but as far as the entire band, the entire unit, group of guys, I’m not sure yet.”
Well, I agree 100%. I hope Scott doesn’t fuck this tour up. I think this is a must go to show for any STP fan. It should be interesting seeing some of Weiland’s takes on STP tunes, and hopefully, a chance to catch some material from 12 Bar Blues .
