Last.fm has many different functions which help you find the music you want to hear and new music you may have never heard of before. Listen to the Last.fm radio is easy – just type in an artist name, and Last.fm will generate a playlist based on many factors related to the band – the category of music, the style, similar sounding artists, tags given to the artist by the community, and other bands that fans listen to.
You’ll also have the option of downloading an application to install on your local computer. This will locate all the music on your computer, and use this information in creating your music profile, another factor which will be used in determining the music you’ll hear on Last.fm

If you have your music on any online stores, you can incorporate these account into Last.fm so users can purchase your music directly. In addition, you’ll get statistics and analytics on anyone that has listened to any tracks you’ve uploaded.
Once you get on there, reach out into the Last.fm community and get some people to listen to your stuff. The more people that you connect with, the more you’ll have a chance to get tagged or added to a favorites playlist, and the more you’ll spread throughout Last.fm.
