SEO for Politicians

From Andy Beal: Reuters has a very VERY interesting article about statements made by Eric Schmit of Google about a future application that would determine the truth about facts made by politicians.
This got me thinking about something that’s been on my mind for some time now: when will politicians begin blowing up my phone asking for online marketing consultations? How long before they stop making annoying trash-talking commercials on TV and start putting them on You Tube.
I can see it now-”To learn more about how you can support John Smith’s run for the Senate, visit him online at www.myspace.com/johnsmithin08″. Then when the special Google Search feature proves that a statement they made was wrong, they can hire some shady black hat to screw with the Google Algorithm so that the “truth” appears at #1.ÂÂ
Wherever politics goes, corruption always follows. At least SEO’s will still be employed…
